Yesterday afternoon, it was going to rain. The wind whistled, and the trees rustled as if they were telling me that i could have a nice sleep tonight.
Yet, I found my sugar box was empty, while I had poured the boiling water to my Hawaiian Macadamia roasted coffee. I need sugar immediately to ensure the taste wouldn’t run off after the it gets cool.
I ran out to the nearby grocery shop and grabbed a pack of grain sugar. When i was paying, I heard the shopkeeper, in his early 20s, was listening to Jay Chow’s song.
It was a greater surprise when i heard him singing the song while his right hand was holding a pack of Ribena and left hand pressing the key on the cash register.
So I said, “wah… dengar lagu Jay Chow ke?”
He replied while smiling, “Ya, u juge minat kan?”
I knew heavy rain was imminent, sweeping off the hot weather. I was really happy and I tried to be fun with him. So I replied, “Tak, aku minat Peterpan (a very famous Indonesian band).”
He was very surprise I said this. He choked, the Ribena in his mouth sputtered out.
And, the people around us laughed.

And thus, began the story of Gunung Patah Belakang…
